Section 501(c)(3) is the portion of the US Internal Revenue Code that allows for federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, specifically those that are considered public charities, private foundations or private operating foundations. 501(c)(3) tax-exemptions apply to entities that are organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes, or for testing for public safety, or to foster national or international amateur sports competition, or for the prevention of cruelty to children, women, or animals.
As a non-profit organization, the Namanyak Organization does not conduct political campaign activities or intervene in elections to public office. We also do not participate in lobbying to influence legislation. Our activities are organized exclusively for charitable educational purposes in the areas surrounding Joel’s village.
